Dynamic footscan gait analysis

We have recently invested in the latest footscan and 3d printed foot orthotics technology leading the way in innovative movement and gait analysis to reduce injury risk, aid rehabilitation and improve performance.

A detailed medical and injury history will be taken, followed by a musculoskeletal assessment to determine your strength and joint mobility. A footscan assessment and gait analysis will then be completed to analyse your posture, balance and gait to identify any asymmetries or abnormalities.

Lucy uses the footscan and gait analysis to look specifically at impact absorption and propulsion highly relevant to sporting activities and if indicated prescribes custom made ultra lightweight 3d printed foot orthotics to fit the unique contours of your foot and modify the forces or kinetics acting on the joints and muscles of your lower limb.  Movement at the foot and ankle also has a significant impact on tissue stress further up the kinetic chain including on our hips and knees.

These custom made foot orthotics are prescribed from the dynamic data taken from your footscan and are the world's first 3D printed orthotics to be specifically designed based on your dynamic gait analysis. Lucy combines this with a selection of other treatment modalities such as footwear advice, strength and conditioning, training & activity modification and gait re-training if indicated.  These orthoses are accurate to the nearest 0.1mm with no room for error in the manufacturing process, providing tailored support and cushioning where you need it most. They are lightweight and robust and offer excellent durability and comfort whether you are walking, running or playing sport.  They can also be designed specifically to cater for your footwear such as walking, running, football boots, cycling and skiing.
