The following are self-pay services.

Routine foot care, shockwave therapy, steroid injections, orthotics, insoles and medications.  Other fees may apply.

Prior to your first appointment you will need to complete a new patient confidential medical history form. This will be sent to you by email when you book. We cannot proceed with treatment without this form. Alternatively a pdf copy can be downloaded for printing from the News & Resources page of the website. You can either bring this with you to your appointment or send by email in advance to your relevant clinician.

Accessing Care with BUPA - what you need to know:

To avoid unexpected charges, please follow the following steps carefully.

  1. Pre-authorisation (required for every appointment)
    • You must contact BUPA before every appointment to obtain pre-authorisation.
    • BUPA authorises individual podiatrists, not the clinic, so you must confirm cover for the specific podiatrist, the specific appointment and the correct treatment codes
    • You must repeat this process for each visit.  If you do not have the correct authorisation, you will be charged our self-pay rates.
  2. Check your podiatrist.
    • Not all our podiatrists are BUPA registered. Lucy Rutler (provider number 85013441) is registered with BUPA for Advanced Musculoskeletal assessment including gait analysis. Amy Coughtrey (provider number 85013441) is registered with BUPA for Nail Surgery, Swift verruca treatments and Advanced Musculoskeletal assessment including gait analysis.
    • You must ensure your podiatrist is named on your policy.
    • If not, we cannot bill BUPA directly and you will need to pay and claim back yourself.
  3. Payments & Fees
    • If BUPA does not cover your treatment we will send an invoice payable within 7 days.
    • If your policy includes an excess, BUPA will inform us and we will invoice you directly via email.
    • BUPA do not cover no shows or appointment cancellations within 24 hours so in these cases you will be sent an invoice for the full cost of the appointment.
  4. Your responsibilities
    • Contact BUPA if you are unsure about your cover.
    • Keep your patient portal updated with authorisation details or email reception@hovefootclinic.co.uk
    • Booking an appointment confirms acceptance of our terms and conditions and our 24 hour cancellation policy.
